Johnny Weir didn’t have time to hate his hairstyle at the Tokyo Olympics closing ceremony.

Weir, a former Olympian who co-hosted NBC’s closing ceremony cover alongside Tara Lipinski on Sunday, showed up with a glittering hairpiece that looked like the Olympic rings.

Jenna Ellis, an attorney for Donald Trump’s failed re-election campaign who helped push his election lies in court, responded to Weir’s gaze with an unfriendly tweet: “Closing ceremony clown #WokeOlympics. How appropriate and utterly embarrassing.

She also quoted on Twitter the photo of himself from the former figure skater with the caption: “Bring back the days when boys cared about growing up to be real men. Biblical masculinity over awakened fragility.

Weir responded to his cruelty, claiming that the man he’s become “into is a human who embraces the strength of the man and woman who raised me to be myself.”

“If you feel overwhelmed by the boot of someone else’s beliefs, remember that you are free to live your life as YOU believe,” he said. “Moreover, religion is no excuse for hatred.”

Many others have praised Weir’s blingy hairpiece. Some even lovingly compared him to Marvel Comics character Loki:
