Jon Gosselin shares rare photo of Collin and Hannah on Day 1 of Grade 11

The Gosselin sextuplets haven’t been reality TV regulars for a long time, so fans of the former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” stars might be shocked at how much they’ve grown since.

Proud dad Jon Gosselin took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a rare photo of two of the multiples – Collin and Hannah – as they head back to school.

“First day of grade 11 !!!!” he wrote next to the photo. “Good luck Hannah and Collin !!! I love daddy.

The photo shows Hannah standing next to a white car and Collin, with one arm around her, standing next to a silver car – presumably their rides for the upcoming school year. The two 17-year-olds look happy in the photo, with Hannah showing off a big smile and her brother offering a smirk.

As for the other four sextuplets – Aaden, Joel, Alexis and Leah – who are also set to head to 11th grade this year, Gosselin didn’t get a chance to take a picture of them until their first day of school.

This is because, while he lives with Hannah and Collin, his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, resides with the others. And she hasn’t shared a photo of them or their big sisters, 20-year-old twins Cara and Mady, on social media for over a year.

To complicate matters, both parents are kept away from children who do not live with them, leaving the children apart.

“I wish all my kids were just together, dating, going to the mall. Spend time together,” Gosselin said in an interview with ET last year. “Kate and I don’t live that far from each other, but I feel like there’s an invisible wall. (The kids) should be able to come together. I have no qualms about that. If they want to go meet, go ahead. I feel like it’s more on the other side. “

He and his ex-wife, married for 10 years, have no contact.

“I haven’t heard from Kate,” the 44-year-old explained. “It’s just like that person doesn’t exist anymore.”

But those coordinated cars that are visible in Gosselin’s Instagram post could one day hold the key to a family reunion.

In a February 2020 interview with the First Class Fatherhood podcast, he said: “As soon as my two children who live with me drive, they have every right to go to their siblings’ school, to look for the kids, and Kate can ‘don’t stop them,’ he said. “I hope this will break a lot of sibling tension.”
