Things seemed rather dark for Stipe Miocic on Saturday night. His face was severely bruised after being defeated by Daniel Cormier for three rounds during their rematch of the heavyweight championship against UFC 241 in Anaheim, California.
But in Round 4, Miocic seemed to be gaining steam, tickling Cormier with stiff blows on the body. When Cormier visibly weakened at the end of the round, Miocic managed to finish the fight with his fists in his head.
Thirteen months after losing the title on Cormier, Miocic won a TKO victory to start a second reign in the title.
Other UFC fighters have talked a lot about the victory of Miocic, who became the second fighter to defeat Cormier, 40 years old.
