Jon jones allegedly pulled his fiancee’s hair and then butted a police car, leaving a gash in the hood and paint chips, during his arrest in Las Vegas early Friday morning, TMZ Sports has learned.
According to a Vegas Metro PD arrest report, cops were called to Caesars Palace at around 5:08 a.m. for a “domestic disturbance” in a hotel room … involving a white woman who was “bleeding from her nose / mouth” and an “adult black male who is a professional MMA fighter.”
When the police arrived, they spotted Jon walking near the hotel, where they pulled over and arrested him.
Cops say Jones, 34, became “angry and smashed his head on the front hood of the LVMPD patrol vehicle,” leaving a medium-sized dent, as well as chips in the paint.
While handcuffed, police said Jones felt a wide range of emotions. At one point, cops say he threatened to sue the department for handcuffing him on the biggest night of his life.
FYI, Jones’ fight in 2013 with Alexandre gustavson was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame just hours before his arrest.
Officers also claim that Jon joked that he wanted to fight all the cops, to see if he could take on all of them at the same time.
Police say they then interviewed the alleged victim, Jon’s fiancee, Jesse, and the mother of three, who claimed she was asleep when Jones returned to their room after a night out in Vegas with her friends.
Jesse told police “Jon came back and wasn’t very happy.” When asked if things had gotten physical, she said, “Um, not too physical but a little yeah.”
When the cops asked her what she meant, Jesse replied, “He touched the back of my head and pulled my hair a little bit, but he didn’t hit me or anything. “.
However, cops said they noticed blood on her lip, which was also swollen. Jesse told the cops it was because they were dry. Police also said they saw blood on his sweatshirt.
The cops checked Jon and Jesse’s hotel room and said they saw blood on the sheets.
When detectives left the scene, they noted that Jesse was worried about when Jon would be released from the county jail.
As to who called the police, Jesse went down to a security booth to request an additional room key around 4.30am. A security guard said she saw blood on her and asked Jesse if she was okay. The warden claimed that Jesse then started crying and said she was afraid to go back to her room.
The guard then claims that Jesse and Jon’s youngest child said “Can you call the cops?”
Jones – who told police he never had physical contact with his fiancee – was ultimately arrested on charges of domestic violence and tampering with a vehicle.
Jon has a court date scheduled for next month.
