Jon Jones to ‘burn all his Nike’ after bloody release of Lil Nas X’s ‘Satan Shoes’

Rapper Lil Nas X, who gave us the “Old Town Road” earworm, collaborated with Brooklyn designer MSCHF (a play about “mischief”) to create “Satan Shoes”, a pair of Nike Air Max 97 sneakers containing 60cc ink and a drop of human blood.

Probably not the best shoes to wear for Sunday service.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Jon Jones originally believed Nike was behind the exit, limited to just 666 pairs, which is probably why he threatened to burn all of his sneakers in protest.

“Tomorrow morning I’m gonna burn all my Nike shoes, you’ll never catch me in this shit again,” Jones wrote on Twitter.

Personally, I was more offended that someone would charge $ 1,018 for this shit.

Jones later found out that Nike had not acted in concert with Lil Nas X. In fact, the clothing giant recently filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against MSCHF.

“Nike has filed an infringement and trademark dilution lawsuit against MSCHF relating to the Satan footwear,” the company wrote in a statement to USA Today. “We can tell you that we don’t have a relationship with Lil Nas X or MSCHF. The Satan shoes were produced without the approval or permission of Nike, and Nike is in no way connected with this project. “

“Okay, now I see there is a lawsuit,” wrote the former champion. “Glad to know Nike isn’t behind this bullshit.”

Jones, 33, signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Nike in 2012.

In other stupid news, Joe Rogan thinks the off-white Nikes are a conspiracy to make kids stupid.
