Chicago P.D. star Jon Seda on Saturday reacted to his release from Chicago NBC franchise with a tribute to the shows and thanks to his dedicated fans. "It's an honor to represent Det. Antonio Dawson in the #OneChicagoWorld, "he writes under a photo of Dawson looking at the Chicago skyline. (See the tweet and its full message below.)

As the deadline reported yesterday, Seda leaves the Chicago franchise after seven years Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Justice. (Chicago Med co-stars Colin Donnell and Norma Kuhling also reacted on social media to their departures.)

Seda was one of the stars of origin of Chicago P.D. He began as a recurring on the mothership the Chicago fire before him and Jason Beghe were spun to anchor spinoff Chicago P.D. as the leads. Seda is gone Chicago P.D. midway through season 4 to join the new series of legal series Chicago Justice. He returned to Chicago P.D. at the beginning of season 5 in regular series as a result of the cancellation of Chicago Justice after a season. He was part of a number of crossovers between Chicago shows.

I hear the feeling that the character of Seda on Chicago P.D. was played, leading to the departure of the actor. But he is very much appreciated by the producers and it is possible that he finds himself in another Dick Wolf show.
