Security Josh Jones wanted the Packers to exchange it this season, but he showed up at the training camp as a member of the team this summer.
Jones will not start the regular season with the team. Jones announced on Twitter Sunday morning that the Packers l informed him that he was struck off the list.
Jones was a second-round pick in 2017 and has played 29 games for the team over the past two seasons. He started 12 of these games and recorded 126 tackles, three sacks and one interception.
Jones will be subject to waivers and will become a free agent if the other 31 teams give the opportunity to claim it.
