During the last years, Jordan Klepper of the Daily Show has emerged as “the king of humiliating Trump fans,” as our own Matt Wilstein put it.
In the 2020 election, Klepper faced rowdy (and maskless) Trump worshipers at one of the former president’s many pandemic rallies; pressed a number of pro-Trump insurgents just before storming the Capitol; and got into a lively back-and-forth with MyPillow guy (and Big Lie-peddler) Mike Lindell.
Monday evening, The daily show aired more revealing footage of Klepper confronting divorced people from reality – this time at a rally against the anti-vaccine mandate that took place outside the residence of New York Mayor Bill de Blasio last week, the participants complaining about the mayor’s decree which entered into force on 2 August. 17, indoor entertainment (cinemas, museums, entertainment venues, etc.), indoor restaurants and indoor fitness facilities will require proof of vaccination to enter.
One of the people Klepper faced was Edwin De La Cruz, who is running for New York City Council on the Republican ticket. De La Cruz, clad in an ill-fitting suit, said: “The science is still new. The craziest exchange involved a woman wearing an “F * CK CANCEL CULTURE” t-shirt. Klepper approached her and asked her, “Maybe you can help me: I see signs that say, ‘Mandates for vaccines are fascism’ and also signs that say, ‘Mandates for vaccines are communism. “Which one is it?”
“It’s both,” she replied.

“Is it both?” These are diametrically opposed ideologies, ”he replied.
“I don’t think it’s communism – I think it’s more like a dictatorship, like we live in Nazi Germany and the only thing missing are camps and gas,” he said. she argued.
“Is that what’s going on right now?” Because you can’t go to a concert? Klepper asked.
“I can’t go to a concert… I can’t go to a gym…” she reasoned.
“Do you think it was like that in Nazi Germany? Did people complain about not going to a gym? Klepper replied.
She was, of course, speechless.
