Jordyn Brooks flattens Kittle

Seahawks first-round pick Jordyn Brooks rookie season has been full of revealing games.

Well add another to the list.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett opens up about new record, David Moore capture

In Seattle’s 26-23 win over the San Francisco 49ers to close the regular season Sunday, Brooks beat tight All-Pro winger George Kittle en route to a tackle from running back Jeff Wilson. It was one of nine tackles for Brooks’ squad, which also saw more playing time than it had been this season.

As you might expect, former NFL linebacker and physical football appreciator Dave Wyman was thrilled to break down this Brooks game (watch here or here) in this week’s edition of Football 101. But Wyman didn’t stop there.

In the video, Wyman also reflects on a Seahawks’ Week 10 loss to the Rams. And if you’re wondering why, it’s because Seattle is set for its third game of the season against Los Angeles in a wild card playoff game on Saturday, and Brooks could be a big factor for the Hawks again.

Watch Football 101 in the built-in player at the top of this article and catch Wyman either throughout the week on 710 ESPN Seattle’s Wyman and Bob (2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday) or on the Seahawks Radio Network broadcast of the game. Saturday, with coverage starting at 10 a.m. Saturday on 710 ESPN Seattle and KIRO Radio 97.3 FM.
