Receiver Josh Gordon made his return to the game in the playoff final on Thursday night. It remains to be seen if his conditional reinstatement will become the full-fledged capacity for the Patriots in 10 days, when New England will brand the No. 6 banner and will embark on his quest for a seventh Super victory record. Gordon provides the Patriots with a formidable weapon and a target of confidence for quarterback Tom Brady, who favored Gordon during a off-season, which signaled a great deal of uncertainty about his return. Gordon has little or no margin of error with regard to drug testing and treatment; Although the NFL has apparently shown much more leniency towards players who have had chronic difficulties in complying, the specter of a new suspension will hover over Gordon.
At only 28 years old, Gordon's has shown tremendous talent during his career in the NFL. In 2013, he won 1,646 yards in 14 games with a Browns team facing a quarter. This is the 14th highest yardage production per season in league history, more than Randy Moss and Terrell Owens, Hall of Fame members, have ever had this season.
