The Dolphins went out of the repechage with a young quarterback after trading the 62nd pick and a fifth round pick in 2020 in front of the Cardinals for Josh Rosen.
Rosen fell out of favor in Arizona with the availability of Kyler Murray and Miami was able to secure the 10th overall pick of the 2018 project at a relatively low price. This gives them a chance to take a long look at Rosen to see if he is the right quarterback to lead the team as they try to win a game in Miami without preventing General Manager Chris Grier from taking one other in 2019.
