Clifford the big red dog

A new teaser has our first look at live-action Clifford, the Big Red Dog. It’s red. And big!

The stall

In a recent interview with Weekly entertainment, director Josh Boone has revealed that neither Marilyn Manson nor his cover of “The End” will appear in The stall after all.

Marilyn Manson and I had discussed at length about her role as The Kid in The Stand. He and the great Shooter Jennings even recorded a murderous cover of The Doors song, “The End,” which ultimately turned out to be too expensive to use.

The show was done on a very tight budget and some of the dreams we had have gone by the wayside. The Kid was another victim. When Manson couldn’t get it to work on schedule, the script was ultimately circumcised and never filmed, which is for the best, as no one could have killed this role like Manson …

Later in the interview, showrunner Benjamin Cavell intervened, “We thought we could restore the character of The Kid, but there really isn’t much of a reason The Kid exists.”

Obi wan kenobi

Prepare these salt shakers: A new report from Illumuninerdi alleges that Naomi Scott, Kim Hart, Elena Houghlin, Thuso Mbedu and Anula Navlekar are Disney’s top picks to play Riley, “a BIPOC woman whose character details are being kept under wraps” in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series at Disney + . Additionally, Disney is looking to launch named characters (probably codedappointed) “Tia”, “Harold” and “Bella”.

Nevers

In a recent press release, Joss Whedon said he had stepped down as executive producer for HBO. Nevers.

This year of unprecedented challenges impacted my life and outlook in ways I could never have imagined, and while developing and producing Nevers has been a joyful experience, I realize that the level of commitment required to move forward, combined with the physical challenges of putting on such a huge show during a global pandemic, is more than I can take without work begins to suffer. I am truly exhausted and I am returning to martializing my energy towards my own life, which is also on the verge of an exciting change. I am deeply proud of the work we have done; I am grateful to all of my amazing actors and collaborators, and to HBO for the opportunity to shape another strange world. Nevers is a real labor of love, but after more than two years of work, love is pretty much all I have to offer. It will never fade.
