Jujutsu kaisen fans have discovered the secret of a villain’s mysterious tongue! The first season of Gege Akutami’s original manga series picked up the fall 2020 anime season and introduced main character Yuji Itadori and fans to a dark new world of enemies. With the Cursed Spirits making their debut as monsters in the series, a few of them ended up standing at the top of the food chain as they evolved to a point where they became just as strong and intelligent than the Jujutsu Sorcerers who fight them. But one was particularly intriguing.
One of those cursed spirits spoke in a strange way, and fans actually managed to figure out what that mysterious language was. As gfstach noted on Reddit, it turns out that this mysterious cursed spirit was actually speaking backwards and it’s even more noticeable in the English dub when you play it backwards. You can see how it works below:

While the other three manage to take some sort of action during Jujutsu KaisenThe first few episodes of the latter, that final spirit has yet to really make a move after saving Jogo. Without saying too much, the Spirit’s name is Hanami and we’ll see him make his move pretty early in the anime adaptation for sure.
As for when the anime will return, episode 14 of Jujutsu kaisen will premiere on January 15 after a brief hiatus for the holiday season. Upon his return, he will not only kick off the second course of his first season, but he’ll also kick off an all-new arc that will introduce all kinds of new allies, enemies, and more that anime fans are sure to follow. the success of this first semester.
