According to a new crime report, a translator from Jujutsu kaisen was arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography. Stefaan Koza was picked up by the Herndon Virginia Police Department. The 33-year-old suspect is charged with five counts of possession and five counts of distribution.
Currently, Koza is. held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Police said they made the arrest in tandem with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Koza is scheduled to undergo his hearing in early March 2021.
Koza is best known as a manga translator within the fandom, and he also uses aliases such as Steady and Steady Studios for his online projects. Koza recently started translating Jujutsu kaisen for Viz Media, but the suspect also does English translations for other titles like Tokyo Shinobi Squad, you never learn, and more.
For the moment, Viz Media has not commented on the situation.
For fans of Jujutsu kaisenThis update comes as a surprise, but creator Gege Akutami has absolutely no part in this ordeal. The Japanese creator is fully withdrawn from his manga translation efforts. Akutami started posting Jujutsu kaisen in March 2018, and its popularity exploded with the release of its anime. The show’s first season has completed its first arc and will begin to adapt its second in light of the New Year.
