Julia Louis-Dreyfus reveals the scenario of the last season of "Veep"

NEW YORK (AP) – Julia Louis-Dreyfus still had tears to shed by announcing his farewells to Veep. The only problem is that she forgot to bring paper tissues.

The shoot ended for the show in December, but the tearful farewells were not enough, as she and the actors in the comedy HBO hit the red carpet for the last time on Tuesday.

"No. I suspect there will be more tears tonight Oh my God, I hope not too much, I did not bring any Kleenex," said Louis-Dreyfus.

The multiple winner of an Emmy Award, which embodies the politician Selina Meyer, shared what fans can expect from her character in the seventh and final season of political comedy.

"Selina Meyer will try to run for the presidency, again. She was veep. She was the president. She wants to become president again. But it's extreme this season. We're pushing the envelope, and it's going to get pretty noisy, "said Louis-Dreyfus.

The last season of "Veep" will be broadcast Sunday night on HBO.

After the sixth season of the series, Louis-Dreyfus announced that she had breast cancer. After a series of successful chemotherapy, she returned to the show.

"It was an absolute godsend to come back to the series and be able to focus on creating really funny stuff with my dearest dear friends. It was all the joy, all the time, "said Louis-Dreyfus.

Showrunner David Mandel called Louis-Dreyfus a fighter, which made him feel like she was coming back. But it was not until the first day of filming that he realized that everything was back to normal.

"There was this magical moment on our first day on the set. She sort of took a moment and said two things to the cast and the film crew. We sort of dug out the scene and the first cursed word came out of his mouth, and it was like: 'We're back!' & # 39; & # 39; Madel said.

When the series was created in 2012, the political landscape was much less rigorous than it is today and, even though the most entertaining moments were centered on real stories, the scenarios are usually not stranger than reality.

Actors Matt Walsh and Timothy Simons joked by saying what an episode of "Veep" would look like if the report of special advocate Robert Mueller was about to be released.

"Can I describe an episode, what would it look like? Selina would try to burn it, "said Walsh. "She probably would have disappeared and would have a facelift to create a distraction."

Simons felt that authors and actors would benefit greatly from the Mueller report.

"I think we would probably have a full episode in which people would rush through Washington to prevent its publication, as I think, happening now," he said.
