Julia Roberts’ daughter made her red carpet debut

It’s not every day that your dad has a film premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, so it would be hard to think of a better occasion to walk the red carpet for the very first time. IS! New reports that Julia Roberts and Danny Moder’s daughter Hazel accompanied her father on the Cannes red carpet to an event for Sean Penn’s latest film, Flag day. Moder was the cinematographer for the film and although he and Roberts have been together for two decades and Hazel is 16, she has managed to stay out of the spotlight – until now.

Hazel wore a soft yellow lace midi shirt dress with long sleeves and a wide open collar. Despite being billed as one of the most glamorous events in the world, she kept things low-key with minimal makeup, a single necklace, and wore her hair in a simple ponytail. She finished the look with fat black Mary Janes.

Hazel and her twin brother Phinnaeus were born in November 2004. Three years later, Roberts and Moder welcomed another son, Henry. While Oscar-winning actress Roberts is one of the world’s most famous actors, she has managed to keep her children out of the spotlight. Parents typically keep kids away from social media (although there have been a few exceptions) and every outing with a glance at one of the kids is rare.

Entertainment tonight reports that a birthday wish to Henry posted on Danny’s Instagram was the latest glimpse into the family’s super-secret (and apparently super-normal) life.
