Julian Edelman re-wounded his left thumb during the pre-season Patriots? | Patriots of New England

FOXBORO, Mass. – Julian Edelman took his first preseason pass on Thursday and immediately arrived by shaking his left hand.

Edelman began the summer on the list of non football related injuries with a broken left thumb. It is therefore remarkable. Edelman left the match, pulled out his left glove and was briefly checked by Patriots head coach Jim Whalen before heading to the bench.

Edelman caught a 20-yard pass from quarterback Jarrett Stidham, then the ball was torn from his hands after falling to the ground.

We will keep this story up to date to see if Edelman will return to the game after the first Giants offensive in New York.

UPDATE (7:55 pm): Looks like Edelman's night is over. He remains, however, on the sidelines.
