Julius Randle will try to take advantage of his best season in the league.
Randle plans to deny his $ 9 million player option for next season and become an unrestricted free agent, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Randle signed a $ 17.7 million two-year contract with the Pelicans in the last off season, but had such a good year and decided to find a much more lucrative offer this summer.
The number seven pick in 2014, Randle averaged 21.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game last season. He spent the first four seasons of his career with the Lakers.
