Treyarch Studios released the July 16 update following the launch of Season 4 Reloaded, and we’ve got all the patch notes covered for you.
Season 4 Reloaded is officially underway in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and it has brought a lot of exciting things for players to discover.
From the new Mauer der Toten Zombies map, the mighty Ots 9 SMG, and a new Nuke killstreak, Season 4 Reloaded has a lot to offer players.
However, that hasn’t stopped Treyarch from working on fixing the issues, which the studio addressed in the Cold War July 16 update, and we have all the patch notes for the update. July 16 of the Cold War covered for you.
Patch Notes for the July 16 Cold War Update
NEW LEAGUE GAMING REWARDS ARE COMING
We add new Call of Duty League– League-themed game rewards for competitive fans unlockable in Reloaded Season Four, including exclusive “Pro Issue” weapon blueprints, weapon charms, stickers and emblems, plus new XP bonus up to 10,000 XP when you reach milestones of 10 to 100.
Start racking up wins from this weekend’s League Play event to progress towards these new rewards:
- 10 victories: Weapon charm, sticker and emblem
- 20 victories: Pistol Blueprint, Weapon Charm, Pro Issue Sticker and Emblem
- 35 victories: Weapon charm, sticker and emblem
- 50 victories: Pro Issue Assault Rifle Blueprint, Weapon Charm, Sticker and Emblem
- 75 victories: Weapon charm, sticker and emblem
- 100 victories: SMG Plan “Pro Issue”, weapon charm, sticker and emblem
MP + ZOMBIES GAMEPLAY IMPROVEMENTS
This update also includes new bug fixes and gameplay improvements in Multiplayer and Zombies. In MP, we fixed an issue preventing players from respawning after a Nuke Scorestreak while a teammate was controlling a Scorestreak remotely, and fixed an issue with the Season Four Challenge “Just the Hits”.
In “Mauer der Toten” we have fixes for stability issues with The Disciple and CRBR-S, an exploit related to Tombstone Soda, and an issue that could occur during one of the main quest stages (not spoilers!).
Later today, we plan to roll out an update to resolve an issue where some Xbox Series X players may experience missing textures, objects, or audio in “Mauer der Toten”. Keep an eye on our Trello board for updates on this and other known issues that we are tracking.
2XP + 2WXP WEEKEND NOW LIVE
Ready to rank? Weekend Double XP + Double XP Weapon arrived in Black Ops Cold War and War zone, live until July 19. Level up twice as fast in MP, Zombies, Verdansk, and Rebirth Island throughout the weekend.
Here’s what’s new in today’s update:

Events
- 2XP + 2WXP weekend
- Double XP and Double Weapon XP are now available from July 16 at 10:00 a.m. to July 19 at 10:00 a.m. Black Ops Cold War and War zone.
User interface
- Fixed UI errors that could appear in multiple places.
MULTIPLAYER
Scores series
- Fixed an issue where players could not respawn after being killed by a Nuke Scorestreak while a teammate was controlling a Scorestreak remotely.
Challenges
- Addressed an issue where the Season Four Challenge “Nothing But Blows” would not reset correctly on death.

League Play Rewards
- Added new Win Milestone challenges that reward Call of Duty League-themed weapon blueprints, weapon charms, stickers and emblems as well as XP bonuses up to 10,000 XP when players reach certain victory stages starting in Reloaded Season Four:

- 20 wins: pistol blueprint, weapon charm, sticker, emblem
- 35 wins: weapon charm, sticker, emblem
- 50 wins: Assault Rifle Blueprint, Weapon Charm, Sticker, Emblem

ZOMBIES
“Wall of the Dead”
- Stability
- Fixed stability issues with The Disciple and CRBR-S Wonder Weapon.
- Main quest
- Addressed an issue that could occur in the Ghost Station during the Main Quest.
- Gameplay
- Completed an achievement with Tombstone Soda.
