Jussie Smollett went to a Cook County courthouse to attend a hearing that he was NOT obliged to attend.

Jussie, who was lying down since he was arrested for filing a false police report, he arrived on Tuesday with sunglasses, gloves and a trench coat. The audience is really for his lawyer, Mark Geragos, to file the documents so that he can represent Jussie in Illinois – and also to determine if cameras will be allowed in court.
He was not obliged to be present, but our sources say that Smollett chose to attend because he intends to actively participate in his defense … and not just as an observer. We are also told that he has finished hiding.
This is the first time we see it after the grand jury has made the 16 counts of indictment last week.
