EDISON, NJ – Tween clothing brand Justice will close all stores, including eight stores in New Jersey, by “early 2021.” The announcement was made on Wednesday by parent company Ascena Retail Group.

Justice has eight locations across New Jersey – Bridgewater, Cherry Hill, Deptford, Edison, Elizabeth, Freehold, Paramus, and Wayne. The Justice store in Edison is located at Menlo Park Mall.

While exact closing dates have not been announced, stores will remain open during the holiday season. A liquidation of all sites is expected to end in early 2021, the statement said.

Justice Brand Holdings, an entity formed by the Bluestar Alliance, will acquire the intellectual property of the Justice brand, as well as certain assets and liabilities, for approximately $ 90 million, the statement said.

“Completing the sales process for our Justice brand is an important step in our efforts to complete our restructuring process and maximize value for all of our stakeholders,” said Gary Muto, CEO of Ascena in a statement.

“Optimizing our portfolio allows Ascena to better position Ascena for long-term success and supports our vision for the future. As we seamlessly transfer ownership of Justice over the next few weeks, we remain committed to delivering meaningful experiences to our customers every day, ”he said.
