Justin Amash sends a storm on Twitter about Mueller's report, Barr and Trump in front of the town hall

A few hours before his first city hall with voters, he released a series of 25 tweets supporting the report of Robert Mueller's special council on Russia's interference in the 2016 election.

"In truth, Mueller's report describes contacts between members of the Trump campaign and people belonging to or connected with the Russian government," Amash wrote on Tuesday.

Aged 39, he is the only Republican in office to openly claim that Trump behaves irreproachably, although he has not endorsed any resolution of existing democratic imputation.
Amash singled out Attorney General William Barr for his handling of the report, arguing that he had misrepresented Mueller's findings, including in a testimony before Congress.

"Until now, Barr has successfully used his position to sell the false statement of the President to the American people, and this will continue if those who read the report do not start repelling false statements and telling the truth." , tweeted Amash.

Amash is known for his independent past and has a long tradition of splitting with the conventional positions of the GOP on controversial topics, such as surveillance and foreign policy.

His critics have made him a target for Trump – the president recently said that Amash was "a longtime loser" – and had drawn attention to a major challenge in his district of Grand Rapids, which He represents since 2011.
