On New Years Eve, Page Six published an article claiming that Justin Bieber was studying to become a minister at Hillsong, the mega-church he was previously associated with.
Earlier today, the singer blasted the claim on his Instagram while opening up about the state of his relationship with Hillsong.
Bieber said there was no truth to his studies to become a minister or “anything close to it”, calling the report “fake news.”

He also distanced himself from Hillsong, saying it was “not [his] church ”and specifying that he is now a member of the mega-church Churchome.

Bieber’s ties to Churchome run pretty deep: According to ET, one of the mega-church’s top pastors, Judah Smith, celebrated his wedding to Hailey Bieber in 2019.
