Bears head coach Matt Nagy has maintained that the team will start Dalton in Week 1 – regardless of the fan chants – when they face the Los Angeles Rams.
So far this preseason, Dalton has completed 13 of 21 passes for 164 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Meanwhile, Fields was very impressive in the team’s opener against the Miami Dolphins in which he completed 14 of 20 passes for 142 yards and a touchdown. The 2021 first-round pick was also electric on the pitch.
Fields shows respect to his veteran counterpart, which is always nice, but the reality is that Fields will likely start a few games for the Bears this season.
