Justin Melnick of Team SEAL and his dog recovering from helicopter crash during commercial shoot

He is one of the stars of the CBS SEAL TV show crew.

And over the weekend, Justin Melnick suffered minor injuries in a stunt accident while filming a commercial project.

The actor, according to Deadline.com, fell about 6 meters as he sped quickly from a helicopter while carrying a dog.

The incident took place near the Blue Cloud Movie Ranch in Santa Clarita, northeast of Los Angeles, on Saturday afternoon.

Melnick was taken to a hospital where he was treated for non-fatal injuries.

A spokesperson for the actor told Variety Sunday that Melnick is fine and recovering at home, and pointed out that the actor’s filming was in no way associated with SEAL Team.

Ironically, last week he posted a video on Instagram in which he managed to perform the quick stunt with a dog.

The dog Melnick performed the stunt with is also recovering and in good condition.

It is not known if it was his own dog Dita, a Belgian Malinois who appears as the K9 Cerberus dog in the CBS series.

Prior to securing the recurring role in 2017, Melnick served as a dog handler on SEAL Team.
