Justin Timberlake pays touching tribute to recently deceased backing vocalist Nicole Hurst: “I will miss you a lot”
Justin Timberlake shared a touching tribute to his former backing vocalist, Nicole Hurst, who recently passed away.
The 40-year-old hitmaker shared several videos and photos featuring the late performer, whom he worked with for several years before her death.
The My Love singer also wrote a lengthy message in the caption of the post to let his 61.1 million followers know about his feelings following the untimely loss of his former collaborator.

Timberlake began his statement by writing that his heart felt “so heavy”. We lost a beautiful soul this week.
The Suit & Tie singer went on to explain how her late friend brightened the mood of everyone she met when she performed and relaxed.
“Nicole lit up all the rooms she entered. On and off the stage, she was a constant source of joy and positivity, ”he noted.
The Grammy-winning singer also remarked that while he was broken by the loss of his former backing vocalist, he was happy to have been in his life.

“Some things seem so unfair and we’ll never understand why they happen. What I do know is that we had the chance to laugh with her, to travel with her and to discover her infectious smile and her love for a life filled with music, ”he wrote.
Timberlake also expressed his gratitude for getting to know the singer and for sharing many good times with her over the years.
‘Nicole, it’s not enough to say that I will miss you very much. Thanks for your light. I’ll do my best to take it with me. I love you, my sister, ”he wrote.
The hitmaker concluded his post by writing that Nicole would always be part of her “family and forever a TN Kid”.

News of Hurst’s passing was initially made public by producer Bryan Michael Cox, who shared several snaps of the singer on his Instagram account.
He also wrote a brief statement that said, “I still don’t have the words… Once they come I’ll do a proper tribute, but right now I have nothing, man. Rest well my friend. Hope you knew how much loved you.
Timberlake notably left a heartbroken emoji in the comments section of Cox’s post.
The late singer has also provided backing vocals for performers such as Kelly Clarkson and Janet Jackson, among others.

The cause of death has not yet been made public.
In 2013, Hurst was diagnosed with stage two triple positive breast cancer, which eventually progressed to stage three.
She later said her cancer was in remission during an interview with ABC 13, where she said she was feeding off the treatment with the idea of happening again.
The singer remembered that she was “like, ‘you have to go through this because you have to hit the road.’
