Kacey Musgraves was a guest on last night’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. She sat down with Colbert to discuss his new album Star crossed, its accompanying film, and more. She talked about the album’s “roller coaster of emotions” and “herbal therapy” (making mushrooms with a guide) in the album writing process. She also talked about the first song she ever wrote and watching her grandpa kick Willie Nelson’s ass in poker. Watch it happen below.
The new album follows on from Golden hour, which won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 2019. On September 12, she will give “Star-Crossed” her live debut with a performance at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards. Her tour behind the album, with Muna and King Princess, starts in January.
