Country musician and proud Texan Kacey Musgraves sells new merchandise to benefit residents of her home country – and mercilessly trails Ted Cruz.
The latest product for sale on the artist’s “Golden Hour” website is a simple black and white T-shirt that says “Cruzin ‘for a Bruzin'” – a clear dig at the Texas senator, who has been criticized this week to travel to Cancun, Mexico, with his family as a deadly winter storm ravaged the state.
Priced at $ 29.99, proceeds from the unisex zinger of a ring t-shirt will be donated to various organizations providing aid to Texans affected by extremely cold temperatures, prolonged power outages and water shortages that have been raging in Lone Star State for several days.
The anti-Cruz t-shirt will be available for purchase until Sunday, with proceeds from Feed the People Dallas, Casa Marianella, and the American Red Cross of Central and South Texas.
Petition for @tedcruz to retweet this link. A quick and easy way to really help out from the comfort of your home! We’re halfway to raising $ 100,000 for Texas! Come on, Ted. https://t.co/TglB3AsEkt

“No actual bruising plz,” the product description reads, while Musgraves started a “petition for @tedcruz to retweet” a link to the article and announced on Twitter that she was “at mid – $ 100,000 collection path for Texas “.
“Texas is cold, I can be cold” Musgraves tweeted by unveiling his brand new product, by taking a lyric from his song “Slow Burn”.
Musgraves is just one of many celebrities who recently made fun of Cruz after the politician and his family were caught on a plane Wednesday in Cancun for a stay at a luxury hotel while Texas was in crisis. Cruz claimed that he was simply escorting his daughters to their destination and that he planned to go home immediately. Upon his return Thursday, Cruz declared that his family trip was “obviously a mistake”.
Other entertainment figures who have condemned Cruz include Trevor Noah, Billy Eichner, Padma Lakshmi, George Takei, Roxane Gay, and Seth Rogen, who has already been to several social media meetings with the lawmaker.

I’m sorry, but if you’ve never dropped your kids off in Cancun for a date during a pandemic and humanitarian crisis in your home state, it’s probably because you’re just a liberal elitist. Hollywood without values.

Not only did Cruz abandon his condition during a storm where millions of people have no water or electricity due to the government’s failure, he:
– asked the police to ship it to the airport
– blamed the theft on his children
– rescheduled his return trip
– lied about it https://t.co/9cISUyin4U– Padma Lakshmi (@PadmaLakshmi) February 18, 2021
If you wanted to be a good father, @tedcruz you wouldn’t have spread the Big Lie, causing an armed insurgency on Capitol Hill that killed 5 people and injured 140 cops.
And based on your baggage in these photos, it was by no means your intention to simply “accompany” your family. https://t.co/drMJziEYfD

If you were just going to drop your daughter off, why the giant suitcase of clothes? And don’t you need to wait 72 hours to confirm a negative COVID test result before you go home? pic.twitter.com/8Po8OBMxtU

His statement is hilarious. I wonder how long it took to concoct this story. Plus, wear a Texas flag mask on the way home? Politics is a dirty and cynical business.

Ted Cruz escaping with his family after two days of misery still has no empathy for migrants fleeing years of war, famine and terror.

it’s hard to think of anyone more embarrassing in every way than ted cruz
