Gerber exuded sheer elegance and brought in Oscar de la Renta to recreate the strapless black dress with floral details around the neckline. To complete the look, she wore her hair in Jagger-esque waves, parted to the side, courtesy of hairstylist Guido Palau, who has been responsible for some of the model’s most dramatic hair transformations in the past.
Jagger attended the Met Gala on several occasions during the 1970s and 1980s, often accompanied and wearing designs by her friend the legendary New York designer Halston, who was the subject of a Netflix biopic earlier this year. .
There’s no doubt that knowledge of Gerber’s fashion history shines through in her first look – we can’t wait to see many more.
