Biden administration calls for government volunteers to show up for work amid surge at border, but many wonder – where is the person tasked with ‘fixing’ the line in the crisis sand?

As the immigration mess on the southern border escalates out of control, Vice President Kamala Harris remains inexplicably silent.

Even after President Biden officially called on the Vice President on Wednesday to lead in response to border challenges, she is not expected to travel south or even address the issue. Harris had no events last weekend and no mention of border-related activity, according to the vice president’s office.

It comes as the Biden administration is now asking for government volunteers to help manage the wave of migrants. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) sent memos to agency heads seeking “volunteer deployments” for up to 120 days, Fox News confirmed.

Harris, in fact, laughed when answering a question from a reporter on Monday who asked her if she would be heading south anytime soon. She responded with what some called a chuckle: “Not today”.

VP’s communications director Ashley Etienne accepted Fox’s phone call but declined to answer questions over the phone. Instead, she told Fox News to email her and she would respond. But as of Sunday evening, still no answer.
