Kansas City Chiefs announce roster changes ahead of Eagles game

On Saturday, the Kansas City Chiefs announced a roster change and demoted two injured players to outside for Sunday’s Week 4 road game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The change of list – who student Rookie cornerback Dicaprio Bootle of the active roster training squad for Sunday’s game – was announced via the official team Twitter account.

Earlier in the week, the team had protected Bootle in the practice squad, preventing any other team from signing him until Sunday. As an elevated player, Bootle will automatically be returned to the training team roster after the match.

Shortly after, friend of the site Matt Derrick from Compendium of chefs reported this cornerback Charvarius Ward (quad) and defensive end Frank Clark (hamstrings) – both of whom had been listed as questionable for Friday’s final injury report game – had been demoted to outside.

So, just like in the Week 3 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, the team will be without Ward and Calrk – two of their starting defensemen. In addition, cornerback Rashad Fenton (concussion) had previously been declared outside for the game – which explains the need to elevate Bootle to the active list. As Derrick noted, we can expect the rookie to see some snaps on Sunday.
