Kanye West apparently created new material at a small listening event in Las Vegas, according to several unconfirmed but seemingly reliable social media reports that surfaced on Sunday – several of which apparently include clips of at least two songs. . Videos and photos show West hunched over DJ gear with his head moving, wearing a balaclava over his head that only exposed his eyes, as a small crowd watches, though the footage is dark and there is no identifying characteristic.
The most substantial clip is almost 30 seconds long and features a West rap to a steady beat with a loud melodic undertow driven by what looks like a Hammond organ. The recording is indistinct but West seems to be rapping about a family situation with a father who didn’t show up, a “daughter just turned one, and she still depends on her mother, big brother down the street, he’s went to buy him a gun. ” A second snippet of this song also does the trick.
Another track is billed as starring California rapper Baby Keem and is more shocking, with a section in which the rapper jumps into a scream that is reminiscent of Tyler, the creator – who was apparently in the studio recently with West, according to another, Clip of a soundless video that was tweeted by veteran rapper Consequence (and former West’s GOOD label signatory) on Saturday.
