Although their split has been described as “amicable”, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are no longer on good terms.
Sources say Page six that Kanye cut direct contact with Kim even before she filed for divorce last month. Kanye reportedly changed all his phone numbers and told his future ex-wife, “You can contact me through my security.” But despite their lack of communication, insiders say the two are still co-parents of their four children, North, 7; Saint, 5; Chicago, 3 years old; and Psalm, 1.
According to the outlet, Kanye regularly visits their children at the Southern California home while Kim is away – an arrangement they both agreed to.
“She trusts him for children. He loves them and sees a lot of them, ”the source said. “She leaves the house and he comes in and hangs out with the kids. They have an army of nannies so the transition is easy.
The insider’s assertions agree with a previous one People report, which detailed Kanye and Kim’s alleged co-parenting strategy. A source told the magazine that Kanye will be spending time with his children with a nanny, but requested Kim’s absence during this time.
“Kim made it clear that Kanye can talk to his children at any time,” the source said. “She never threatened to keep him away from the children. It only demands that it does not damage them. She knows he loves them and they love her. Kanye can FaceTime to kids anytime. “
Kim filed for divorce last month after nearly seven years of marriage. Kanye is reported to have had a rough time in the midst of the separation, but has found solace in his children.
“The divorce has been difficult for him, but knowing that he has access to his children and that he has shared custody makes the transition easier,” said another source. “… Kanye is hopeful that they will reconcile, but he doesn’t expect that in the immediate future.”
