Following reports that Kanye West is hosting another DONDA event at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, a rep for the rapper confirmed the news to HYPEBEAST.
Abu “Bu” Thiam told HYPEBEAST that the event was presented as a “DONDA album release “and will take place on August 5th.
West presented his new album to a full house in his hometown of Atlanta on July 22, ahead of what was supposed to be the album’s official release. However, West delayed the album’s release, with some saying he wanted to give fans “the best possible product without rushing” the downfall.
West is currently locked in the stadium putting the finishing touches on the new tracks.
The album features some notable appearances from Pusha T, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Don Toliver, Pop Smoke, Roddy Ricch and a special reunion with JAY-Z.
Thiam referred to the upcoming event in a cryptic Instagram post.
No additional information has been provided on what the event will look like and whether it will be broadcast live to the public.
In other news, Atlanta has officially dubbed June 22 as “Kanye West Day”.
