After a promo flurry in Las Vegas last weekend, Kanye West hosts a listening party for his new album Donda at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta this Thursday night. The timing of the event implied the album would be released on Friday, and now Kanye confirmed that in a new commercial for Beats Studio Buds which debuted in Game 6 of the NBA Finals tonight.
The ad stars Sha’Carri Richardson, the elite sprinter who was controversial for the U.S. Olympic team after testing positive for legal marijuana. “Sha’Carri doesn’t need you to let her do anything,” reads on YouTube, before asserting, “DONDA is officially out in 48 hours!” Images are saved by the Donda track “No child left behind.” “Never count on all of you, always count on God,” Kanye sings against a clap of the organ. “He worked miracles on me.
The current announcement also reveals that Apple Music will be live streaming the Donda Listening night in Atlanta, which starts at 8 p.m. ET. Take a look below.
