Karamo Brown replaces Ryan Seacrest on the Golden Globes carpet

After Ryan Seacrest announced his departure from “E!” Live from the red carpet, “Queer Eye” star Karamo Brown took her place as host at the 2021 Golden Globes – the first awards show since the announcement of Seacrest’s release.

Dressed in a Burberry costume, Brown, 40, co-hosts Sunday’s pre-show cover alongside red carpet staple Giuliana Rancic. The duo interviewed candidates virtually in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Seacrest, 46, has hosted the staple of awards season for 14 years, but the network has never announced an official replacement. In his departure announcement earlier this month, Seacrest said he was moving on to “new adventures”.

“I will miss the whole team that works so hard behind the scenes and of course my amazing partner Giuliana,” he said. “Thanks everyone for watching all these years.”

Before this year’s Globes red carpet, Seacrest instead promoted its current project: “American Idol”.
