Midfielder Kareem Hunt was hired by the Browns on February 11th. Although he is suspended for the first eight games of the season, Hunt is now part of the team.
Browns coach Freddie Kitchens gave an update on Hunt during the repechage, saying Hunt "exceeded expectations".
"He's fine," said Kitchens. "He does everything we ask him to do. Exceed expectations from the point of view of his presence in the building, his relationship with the players and his presence in the field. I have never been near him so far, but that's what I see and that's what we got. He does things in the community. He continues to work every day and does not take time off to become a better person, a better player, and I think everyone will see the benefits. "
The NFL has suspended Hunt for two separate physical altercations under the Personal Conduct Policy. Both incidents occurred in his hometown of Cleveland, and the leaders killed Hunt on November 30, after the video revealed his assault on a woman.
Hunt played 27 games with 453 runs for 2,151 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also caught 79 passes for 833 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Nick Chubb will start with the Browns, who insist that they also have a role to play for Duke Johnson. Johnson, who spends off-season volunteer work at the team's premises, requested an exchange.
