Goldie Hawn took another step today!
The “Private Benjamin” star turned 75 on Saturday and received a moving tribute from her daughter, actor Kate Hudson, to celebrate the occasion.
Hudson shared a black-and-white retrospective photo of a young Hawn on Instagram Friday to honor his mother before the big day.
“Tomorrow is a special day because it marks the day my mom was born @goldiehawn,” the “Almost Famous” star wrote. “Goddess, light worker, fire bender, scorpion-tailed whirlpool, mother butterfly, expander of love, shining star, HAPPY BIRTHDAY tomorrow.”
“I shoot evenings so I want to get my message tonight because I’ll be sleazy in the morning,” she added. “I love you endlessly and beyond. Join me in wishing Mom G a very happy birthday ?❤️? I love you ✨.”
Hudson and Hawn are one of Hollywood’s most iconic mother-daughter duos. For her daughter’s 41st birthday earlier this year, Hawn shared a photo of Hudson on Instagram, writing: “Happy Birthday to my only daughter @katehudson ?? !!!”
“I love you deeply and I cannot imagine my life without you,” she continued. “You walked into this world wide-eyed and ready to roll. And look at you now! I am so proud!
Earlier this year, Hawn shared a little more with People magazine about the moments leading up to Hudson’s entry into the world. Hawn said she plans to name her daughter Rebecca – until she is in labor and takes the freeway to the hospital.
“She kicked me so hard in my vagina that I changed her name on the spot, because she was hard,” Hawn said. “I called her Rebecca and on the 405 I was like, ‘She’s a Kate.'”
When it was time for Hudson to give birth to his first and only daughter, Rani Rose, now 2, Hawn wouldn’t have missed it. “I was right there,” she told People, laughing. “I was a bit close.”
On Hawn’s 74th birthday last year, Hudson shared a photo of his mother holding Rani Rose, her youngest child, on Instagram.
“The two most important women in my life and it turns out to be one of their birthdays,” Hudson said captioned the cute photo. “Happy birthday beautiful mom.”
