Kate Middleton and Prince William’s secret cottage keeps fond memories

Kate Middleton and Prince William have a home many Britons don’t even know about – a cottage on the Queen’s 50,000-acre estate in Scotland.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge divided most of their time between London, at Kensington Palace, and Anmer Hall, their country home on Queen Sandringham’s estate in Norfolk.

But Tam-Na-Ghar has particularly happy memories for Kate and William, a place they often visit when dating, the Mirror reported.

And the royal couple even packed their offspring – Prince George, 7; Prince Charlotte, 5 years old; and Prince Louis, 2 – in the three-bedroom house for a stay two summers ago.

The cottage, a gift to William from the Queen Mother’s great-grandmother before her death in 2002, is near where Prince Charles and Camilla live on the estate – Birkhall.

Balmoral Castle is the crown jewel of the 150-building complex, where the Queen and Prince Philip spend their summers.

Also on the grounds are several chalets that the royal family rents to vacationers – when they are not there.
