Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, knows how to make the green go easy!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended Sunday's annual parade of the Irish Patrol Guard at the Cavalry Barracks Barracks. The old Kate Middleton donned a stunning emerald green Alexander McQueen coat with the matching dark green hat from Lock & Co. Hatters.

She has accessorized the look with a touch of glittering jewelry, including Kiki McDonough earrings in green tourmaline and green amethyst and a Cartier clover pendant that once belonged to Queen Elizabeth II.

And, while she's still looking for fashion for the annual festivities, her custom-made, military-inspired coat was definitely her most chic look to date.

The 37-year-old duchess paired her royal look with black Gianvito Rossi heels and black gloves, while Prince William, 36, a colonel with the Irish Guards since 2011, wore a traditional Irish Guards frock coat.

Kensington Palace tweeted a photo representing the Duchess of Cambridge presenting officers with sprigs of clover, a tradition going back more than a century.

Adorably, she also introduced the clover to Domhnall, the Irish Greyhound who plays the mascot role of the Irish Guards.

About 350 soldiers marched on the parade square and were greeted by Prince William at the ceremony. After the parade, the Duke and Duchess were honored at the caretaker's breakfast, where they tasted pints of Guinness beer.

Last year, the duchess had to go through the chore because she was pregnant with Prince Louis! In 2017, she enjoyed sipping traditional beer while chatting with the families of soldiers.

Today 's ceremony also included a minute of silence in the honor of the victims of the terrorist attack in New Zealand.
