“Mum, dad and son are all doing wonderfully,” a Katharine McPhee representative told PEOPLE on Feb. 24 of the birth of the singer’s first child with her husband David Foster.
Katharine McPhee relishes every moment with her newborn son.
On Saturday, the singer shared a cute mother-son photo during their outdoor walk. “Just in case you were wondering … I love being a mom!” McPhee, 36, wrote on his Instagram Story with the photo.
The photo marked McPhee’s first social media post since news of his son’s arrival last month.
“Katharine McPhee and David Foster have welcomed a healthy baby boy. Mom, dad and son are all doing wonderfully,” a McPhee rep exclusively told PEOPLE on Feb. 24 of the birth of the baby. Country comfort the star’s first child with husband David Foster.

Last October, sources confirmed to PEOPLE what McPhee and Foster were expecting. At the time, the couple were spotted in Montecito, Calif., Eating lunch and shopping for babies.
McPhee and Foster tied the knot in June 2019 after they first met in 2006, when the Grammy-winning producer mentored McPhee and other contestants in season 5 of American Idol.
Throughout her pregnancy, McPhee documented her pregnancy journey for her followers, often sharing mirror selfies that showed her round belly.
