The American Idol alum welcomed her first child with her husband David foster February 24. Now the star is showing how happy she is with her new role on her Instagram Story.
In a photo of her holding her baby boy in a sling, the Smash the actress wrote: “Just in case you were wondering, I love being a mom.” She even included crying emojis to show just how moved she was by her new parenthood.
Katharine and David, who have five more children and seven grandchildren, tied the knot in 2019. E! News reported that the two were expecting their first child together in October of last year.
An insider on the couple said mom and dad were excited to embark on their parenting journey together.
“Katharine, David and the baby are all doing great,” the insider said on March 4. “Katharine is so excited that the baby is finally here. She has been waiting a long time to be a mom and couldn’t be happier that the time is right.”
