Kathryn Hahn is not afraid to give it all away.

“I rarely wear makeup in my real life. Lots of roles I’ve played recently, I wear little or no makeup, ”the“ WandaVision ”57 actress told People for their 2021“ Beautiful Issue ”.

“Strangely enough, I wore more makeup when I was 20. I feel like I wear less and less as I get older.

Hahn added that she “just wasn’t that bird” that went for a glamorous face, and that she usually goes for a tinted moisturizer and lipstick for a big event.

While the star may be comfortable in her own skin, her 11-year-old daughter Mae has recently taken an interest in all things beauty.

“I think she wants me to wear makeup all the time. She wishes she had a more glamorous mother, ”Hahn said. “She always said, ‘Can you brush your hair today?’ And I say to myself: “I know”. She always wishes I had color on my nails.

About Mae’s love for makeup, she joked, “It skipped a generation. My mother is very glamorous. I feel like my daughter is too.

As a teenager, the SAG Award nominee said she went through a “Gothic period” where she piled up on foundations to the point where “a sandblaster was needed to remove it.”

She later developed cystic acne and “wore a ton of makeup” to cover up her blemishes; they continued into her forties, when she brought her acne under control through a diligent skin care routine.

“Acne really does something to your self-esteem, especially when you’re on camera,” Hahn recalls. “Once it started to clear up, I really felt more comfortable not wearing makeup.”
