Can we talk? Because Variety has learned that Kathryn Hahn is committed to playing Joan Rivers in “The Comeback Girl,” a limited series in development at Showtime, produced by Warner Bros. Television, Atlas Entertainment and Berlanti Productions. In addition to playing the role of Rivers, Hahn will produce “The Comeback Girl”, Greg Berlanti will direct and produce, and Cosmo Carlson will write and produce.

Hahn was nominated for an Emmy for “WandaVision” and will soon be seen on Apple TV’s “The Shrink Next Door”. She recently finished filming Rian Johnson’s “Knives Out 2”. Hahn and Berlanti went to Northwestern University together and looked for a project to collaborate on.
Charles Roven and Suckle are executive producers of “The Comeback Girl” for Atlas Entertainment, and Sarah Schechter and David Madden are executive producers for Berlanti Productions. Starch from Atlas Entertainment will be co-executive producer and Leslie Bennetts is a consultant.
