Kathryn Hahn to star Joan Rivers in biopic series

Joan Rivers will be resurrected.

Well, in the form of Kathryn Hahn. The “WandaVision” actress is set to play the late comedian in the limited series “The Comeback Girl”.

The series will air on Showtime and Hahn, 48, will produce, according to Variety. “Riverdale” producer Greg Berlanti is on hand to direct the show.

The miniseries are set after the cancellation of “The Late Show”, which came around the same time Rivers’ husband Edgar Rosenberg, who was the show’s producer, committed suicide in 1987.

Hahn just ended his career as Agatha in the Marvel series “WandaVision” and stars alongside Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd in the upcoming Apple TV + series “The Shrink Next Door”.

The actress was nominated for an Emmy for her hilarious role, however, she did not win on Sunday’s TV show. (The Disney + series only won three awards, despite 23 nominations.)

Fans, of course, weren’t happy with the snub and took to Twitter to express their disappointment.
