Katie Couric shows her support for Wendy Williams.
A day after Williams revealed that she was living in a sober house "for some time now," Couric has stopped. Wendy Williams's show and congratulated the host for his openness and honesty.
"I know it's your show, but I just want to start by saying that I'm so proud of you," Couric told Williams after hugging him. "It was a hard thing to do, I felt for you and I think your honesty and your honesty will help a lot of people."
Couric continued his kind words, telling Williams that his courage would not only help "people with addiction … addiction", but could also "raise additional funds for research so that people can really get better understand the science of addiction.
"I think you're going to do phenomenal things with this," added Couric. "I was really moved."

In the episode of his Tuesday show, Williams tears told his viewers his daily routine since moving to the sober house.
"After my visit to Pilates, I attend several meetings all over the city, in the tri-state area, and I see my brothers and sisters, addicted to them and seeking help," he said. she declared. "… After finishing my appointments, see my brothers and sisters, break the bread, my sober coach 24 hours a day brings me back to the house where I live, here in the Tri-State with a group of smelly boys who have become my family, they hang on television and watch football, we talk and read and speak and read and then I get bored with them. "
Williams described the experience as "very interesting" and noted that only her husband and son knew of her situation. She ended her speech by encouraging people to call the helpline available 24 hours a day – 888-5HUNTER – if they needed help, and revealing that they had already helped to place 56 people in recovery centers.
Following his revelations, a source close to Williams told ET that she had come forward to raise public awareness of the issue.
