Katy Perry performs at the Joe Biden prime-time opening special on Wednesday and she’ll have a handful of patriotic microphones to choose from.
On Tuesday, January 19, Perry tweeted a photo of four microphones – one white, one dazzled with the flag, one covered in silver stars, and one resembling Lady Liberty’s torch – with just a heart and an American flag emoji. The photo was retweeted by Biden’s inaugural committee before making it official with an announcement that Perry would perform on the Celebrate America TV Special after Wednesday’s inaugural ceremony in Washington, DC
