Toronto Raptors star Kawhi Leonard received the ball with just seconds to play in the seventh Eastern Conference semifinal match against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday night.

Leonard dribbled the ball to the opposite corner and fired a shot at the fadeaway. The ball bounced several times around the rim before crossing the bottom of the net to give the Raptors the 92-90 win over the 76ers and send the team to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The shot also provoked a frenzy in social media and many people celebrated Leonard's exploits.

The basket gave Leonard 41 points, the highest number of the game, as well as his eight rebounds and three assists. He was 16 of 39 on the field, including 2-in-9 with three points in the win.

The Raptors will make their second appearance in the finals of the Eastern Conference. They lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Playoffs. They never went to an NBA finals.

Serge Ibaka also helped the Raptors with 17 points and eight rebounds. Pascal Siakam had 11 points and 11 rebounds in the match.

Despite a 43% shot on the field, the 76ers failed in their efforts to reach the finals of the Eastern Conference.

Each of the 76ers was two-digit in points.

Joel Embiid led the way with 21 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. He also added three blocks. J.J. Redick scored 16 points, while Ben Simmons added 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
