President Donald Trump promised Sunday to organize July 4 "one of the largest gatherings of history" in the nation's capital, an event that he said will include fires. artifice, entertainment and a presidential speech.
We did not know right away if the "Salute to America" was the same event as last year, or if it would be modeled in the same mold. The parade, originally scheduled for November of last year, will cost $ 92 million, said a CNBC Defense Department official.
This figure includes $ 50 million from the Pentagon and $ 42 million from inter-agency partners such as the Department of Homeland Security. According to an initial estimate, last month, the estimated cost of the parade was $ 12 million.
