FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – With the aspirations of the NBA, it's hard to argue against Kentucky for Keion Brooks Jr.

The former North Side defender announced his decision Friday at St. Paul Lutheran School in Fort Wayne. He chose the Wildcats rather than Indiana, the state of Michigan and North Carolina.

Brooks Jr. was transferred to Light for his high season to better prepare for this transition to college. He will continue his academic and athletic career in Kentucky.

In the last 10 years, 26 different players have been selected in the first round of the NBA draft. Head coach John Calipari certainly has a plan to make a jump to the pros.
